The recent expansion of the goat industry within Australia has been exciting as we see many commercial and stud producers entering the market. This exponential growth has also resulted in “significant gaps” in the level of expertise of agents and stud breeders and this has been reflected in the inconsistency in the quality of the animals on offer.

In response to this issue we have established North and South sales located in Peak Hill New South Wales and St George Queensland respectively, where judges with years of specialised boer goat experience oversee quality control of the animals sold.

These multivendor events aim to take the guesswork out of purchasing goats and offer “ready to work” quality animals from some of the best studs in the country.

This event hosts a Hoof & Hook Competition, the Australian Boer Goat Championships with an internationally acclaimed judge, presentations from industry leaders and it concludes with a quality controlled auction.

The ONLY goat auction in Australia that uses a panel of judges to classify animals. This is quality control like NO OTHER! The classification occurs the day prior to the sale where all animals are given a rating based on the average of three judges scores. This system encourages breeders to put better animals on offer and it reduces the sale of unsuitable livestock.
