Youlden Valley produces Standard Boers, Colour Boers (red, black and paint boer goats), Dorpers and White Dorpers. In 2014 Youlden Valley was initially started in partnership with Thomas Youlden, Valley Boers to offer different Standard Boer goat genetic lines and to expand into another meat livestock such as the White Dorpers. Valley Boers has been operational since 2004. The success of this venture lead to Youlden Valley quickly expanding to also offer Colour Boers and Dorpers.
There are two features integral to our stud meat goats and meat sheep that differentiate Youlden Valley from other studs.
RESILIENCE: We aim to produce COMMERCIALLY ALIGNED INDUSTRY RELEVANT ANIMALS. It is necessary for each animal to be adaptable and withstand diverse environmental conditions and fulfill the needs of our customers.
QUALITY: We focus on selecting animals that perform in the paddock. It is crucial that animals are well BALANCED, able to MOVE, have a sound STRUCTURE, good MEAT carrying capacity whilst maintaining STYLE.

The 2022 DSSA National Show and Auction was successful where we won National Grand Reserve Champion White Dorper which was sold for $18,000 to Pine Lodge, The Rock. This result came on the back of selling the Top Price White Dorper at the Eastern Region Sale in March 2022 for $10,000 to Tanya & Brad Edson, Red Rock White Dorpers South Australia.
